Welcome Delegates

A little over 66 years ago, 51 nations stood cautiously optimistic, having just become the first members of what was to be the largest global effort to fulfil seemingly simple and fundamental aims – to maintain international peace and security and to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war. Today, the world stands at a moment in history where there is an overwhelming support for democracy, freedom, and the basic rights the United Nations is symbolic of; a moment led not by governments, but by the people.

Hello and welcome delegates, to the first edition of the Bombay Scottish School, Model United Nations. The organizing committee have been responsible for building up this conference from scratch: from the files and files of forms, to the finalisation of committees. Our team forms the backbone of this conference and is instrumental in the smooth functioning of each committee and the conference as a whole.

Warm regards,
The organizing committee,
BSSMUN 2013.
