From the Desk of the President:
Dear Delegates,
It is with utmost pleasure that I welcome you to the Historic Security Council here at BSSMUN 2013.
The Security Council is arguably the most prestigious and most engaging committee at any MUN conference. At the same time, expect a pacey 2 days with intense debate and fun. While delegates are advised to be well researched and thorough with their foreign policies, do not forget to a share of enjoyment accompanying you.
This dynamic committee is a ‘crisis’ committee that will be debating one of the most exciting issues in the context of the Cold War- the Suez Crisis. With committee commencing only a day after hostilities are in full swing- delegates, expect to be thrown into the least likely of situations yet be firm with your foreign policies amidst this turmoil in the Middle East.

President
Chairs
If you weren’t expecting a 15-year old, 5 feet tall to chair your committee, apologies for failing your expectations. I, Raj Bhuva, am a 9th grade student of the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, and MUNning has always been my 2nd passion- after dramatics. BSSMUN 2013 shall be my 5th MUN Conference after having attended CMUN, DAIMUN, EMUN and SISMUN where I have won awards as well.
Problems of the present are a great problem, however problems of the past, are also as important. Here in the HSC we wish to give all delegates an opportunity to be placed in a position whose repercussions can still be felt today. I am Abhinav Srikant, Deputy President of the Historic Security Council. Political and economic issues have always caught my attention, and I do also possess a love for history making this an ideal committee for me, my other great passion is the guitar. Best of luck to all delegates.
