ASEAN

From the Desk of the President:

   Dear Delegates,
It is an utmost pleasure to welcome you to the ASEAN here at BSSMUN 2013.

Indonesia, being a part of the Pacific Rim of Fire, is one of the the world's most susceptible nations to natural disasters, with hundreds of thousand of people dying every year due to the same. Despite the considerable experience of the Indonesian Government in the field of disaster management, the sheer magnitude of these calamities calls for assistance from its international partners. Disaster resilience and management in Indonesia is therefore the top priority for the ASEAN and is the subject of this conference.
